East Stroudsburg University (ESU) invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean, College of Health Sciences. ESU seeks an accomplished and transformational leader to serve in this key leadership position to develop and advance a vision of interdisciplinary health science and research and provide support to talented students, faculty, and staff.

ESU is a master’s comprehensive university and is one of the 14 institutions in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). With 58 undergraduate, 21 master’s, and two doctoral programs, students can select a major that best suits their professional aspirations. Enrolling more than 4,300 undergraduate and 800 graduate students from 26 states and 12 foreign countries, the University maintains a 20:1 student to faculty ratio. Students of color comprise 41 percent of the undergraduate enrollment and 20 percent of graduate enrollment.

The College of Health Science is the academic home to more than 1,100 students and 35 full-time and 17 part-time faculty in the departments of Athletic Training, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Exercise Science, Nursing, Physical Education, and Public Health. Reporting to the Provost, the Dean of the College of Health Sciences is a member of the University’s academic leadership team and is the college’s principal academic and administrative officer. 

ESU seeks an accomplished administrator and scholar with a record of developing innovative interdisciplinary programs. The selected candidate will bring successful experience developing meaningful partnerships within the health professions at the local, regional, national, and international levels. An earned doctorate degree in the health sciences or a related field from an accredited institution and a record of teaching, scholarship, and service, appropriate for the rank of professor (full or associate) in a health science field is expected.

This is a full-time position at East Stroudsburg University’s campus in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
