Digital Innovation Bootcamp: From Concept to Action

A unique opportunity to apply learning theories and education models to developing engaging and inspiring digital content for students.

Faculty today must have a high digital IQ. Classroom technology and social media are here to stay so it’s time for nurse educators to sharpen their skills as digital content creators. Through a collaboration between AACN and Apple, we are happy announce the Digital Innovation Bootcamp: From Concept to Action. This bootcamp-style program is designed specifically for faculty, administrators and staff in nursing programs to create and curate content to engage students in learning experiences in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.

Apply by March 19, to participate in this 3-day intensive program at the Apple's Austin campus with other nurse educators from across the country. You will learn from Apple development executives and Apple distinguished educators about what leading technologies are available to help transform the higher learning experience. Successful applicants will leave Austin with hands-on experience using new, innovative, and engaging digital content tools, and a personal learning network from peer support.

Participants are expected to complete a digital project and may be selected to present at one of AACN's 2018 or 2019 conferences:

  • Faculty Development Conference - Nov. 14-15 | New Orleans, LA
  • Baccalaureate Education Conference - Nov.15-17 | New Orleans, LA
  • Doctoral Education Conference - Jan. 17-19 | Coronado, CA
  • Master's Education Conference - Feb. 21-23 | Tampa, FL
Applicants who are accepted will receive additional assistance and information on the digital project pre- and post-bootcamp through a series of conference calls and webex meetings.

Participation will be limited to 30 individuals selected from AACN membership institutions.
