Located in Midtown Detroit, our college enjoys strong, long-standing clinical and research partnerships with world-class health institutions in our backyard, along with countless clinics and community health centers in and around our city.

Successful candidates for these full-time, tenured faculty positions should have a distinguished record of scholarly nursing research and publication. Highly qualified candidates may be considered for the Faville Endowed Professorship, which will provide supplemental support for the scholarly activities of the recipient.

Successful candidates should expect to:

  • Conduct research in areas of interest consistent with the foci of the college: health disparities, stress and health, health promotion/illness prevention, self-management of chronic conditions.
  • Maintain a record of scholarly publication in nationally recognized journals.
  • Mentor PhD students.
  • Prepare, teach and evaluate assigned courses.
  • Participate in college and university committees.
