Description: The University of Louisiana Monroe College of Health Sciences is conducting a national search for the next Director of the Kitty DeGree School of Nursing (KDSON). The College is seeking an experienced, creative, student-focused, and dynamic leader to serve who will provide leadership and vision to the School as it relates to the profession of nursing on a national, state, and local scope. As the chief academic and administrative officer of the KDSON, the Director will report to the Dean of the College of Health Sciences (CHS)and is expected to provide a culture that reflects transparency, shared governance, collegiality and strong leadership. The ULM Kitty DeGree School of Nursing has a long history of excellence. The School was founded in 1960 and graduated the first class of baccalaureate nurses in 1964. Currently, the KDSON has both a BSN and MSN program with several tracks in each program. The School is in the process of developing the DNP, with an expected start date of 2026.

Qualifications:
- An unencumbered RN license in Louisiana (or eligible for Louisiana licensure).
- Holds a master’s degree in nursing.
- An earned doctorate with a minimum of five years collegiate teaching experience in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program(s) at a four (4) year institution.
- A minimum of three years of successful senior academic nursing management experience in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program(s) at a four (4) year institution and a minimum of five years of clinical practice.
- Academic credentials corresponding to an Associate Professor Tenure Track appointment.
- Demonstrate evidence of being a dynamic, creative, proactive, innovative and visionary leader with strong decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate evidence of sound academic and fiscal planning and management skills.
