Applications are invited from qualified persons to fill the position of Head of Nursing & Allied Health in the Arts & Science Division starting Fall 2025. The successful candidate works with the Dean of Arts & Science under the direction of Vice President Academic Affairs and in accordance with the relevant legislative provisions and established policies and procedures.

THE POST – HEAD OF NURSING & ALLIED HEALTH

The successful candidate should be a creative professional who is able to provide leadership to faculty on instruction to create an engaging learning environment, evaluate faculty and student academic performance using a variety of assessments and techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee Associate of Science degrees in Nursing, Pre-Health, Diagnostic Imaging Technology and Pre-Medical programs, advising, faculty training, and student support
  • Lead accreditation compliance, curriculum development, and academic planning
  • Manage budgeting, hiring, and program resources
  • Drive student recruitment, retention, and completion strategies

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Unencumbered RN license
  • Master’s in Nursing, Doctorate preferred
  • 5+ years of teaching & successful management, service and leadership experience in providing excellence in academic, clinical or administrative nursing
  • Leadership experience in program administration, curriculum design, and research
  • Familiarity with ACEN accreditation standards preferred
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with faculty, administration, students and external organizations
  • Entrepreneurial approach to nursing education.

Salary: $141,426.58 to $153,332.36
