Academic Division Director - Nursing & Allied Health Programs

Location:
CT State Naugatuck Valley 750 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT??06708? **This position is not remote**

Anticipated Start Date:
April 2025

Position Summary:
The Academic Division Director - Nursing and Allied Health Programs manages academic degree and certificate programs in nursing and related disciplines such as paramedic and allied health subjects at a Community College.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in Nursing together with a Connecticut license to practice nursing and four (4) or more years of teaching nursing subjects in higher education and two (2) or more years of experience in supervising health care or academic professionals or a combination of education, training and experience which would provide the competencies required for successful performance of the position's essential duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• D.N.P., Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Nursing or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Significant leadership experience in nursing and allied health education within a community college or higher education setting.
• Proven experience with program accreditation processes for nursing and allied health programs (e.g., ACEN, JRCERT, CoARC, CAPTE).
• Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and financial management, including program cost analysis and resource allocation.
  
  Starting Salary:
  Minimum Salary; $104,509 approximate annual plus excellent State of CT medical insurance, retirement, and related fringe benefits. The salary will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications such as education and job-related experience, and internal equity.
