The School of Nursing is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator for a 12-month faculty role that goes beyond traditional teaching supporting students in our Associate in Science (A.S.N) degree program. In this position, you’ll serve as a clinical expert and professional role model, providing direct supervision, mentorship, and skill-building support to nursing students in acute and long-term care settings.
Position Requirements:
· A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
· Current, active, and unencumbered licensure in the State of Florida as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.
· Minimum of 3 years of hospital experience or clinical experience in an educational setting as a Registered Nurse or ARNP.
· Requires in-person work at West and/or Osceola Campuses, as well as at clinical sites located in Orange and Osceola counties. The schedule may vary by semester.
· Please note that you will need to establish and maintain Florida residency within 30 days from your start date.
Contract Workload:
· The Clinical Nurse Educator is a 12-month faculty position within the School of Nursing, responsible for direct supervision and clinical instruction of nursing students in health care settings.
· Average of 30 hours a week in clinicals and 10 hours supporting nursing labs and performing other tasks
· This role is subject to annual renewal, with specific duties and time commitments varying based on operational needs, clinical site demands, accreditation requirements, and institutional resources.
Salary is determined based on relevant work experience and the highest degree earned.
Bachelor’s $57,733 – $71,669
Master’s $62,753 – $77,900
Master’s +30 $67,772 – $84,131
Doctorate $70,284 – $87,249
This position qualifies for a Valencia College Pay Additive of $10,000 in biweekly installments
