Open Summary
Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is seeking an Instructor of Nursing to join the Caylor School of Nursing (CSON) at our Knoxville, Tennessee campus. This faculty role is dedicated to teaching and mentoring nursing students while supporting the mission of LMU, the School, and the Department. The Instructor will be accountable for instructional excellence, student success, and contributing to a culture of scholarship and service.Structure and Formatting
This is a full-time, 12-month faculty appointment. The instructional faculty member’s primary responsibility is teaching across undergraduate and/or graduate nursing programs. Duties include preparing and delivering lectures, facilitating clinical instruction, evaluating student performance, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in scholarly activity. The successful candidate will also participate in advising, committee service, and program assessment to ensure continued accreditation and excellence in nursing education.Candidate Profile
We are seeking a committed nursing professional and educator who is passionate about shaping the next generation of nurses. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of teaching potential, clinical expertise, and scholarly engagement.Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing (minimum requirement for all CSON faculty positions).
Doctorate in Nursing (preferred; required for teaching in graduate nursing programs).
Current, unrestricted Tennessee RN licensure, with additional licensure in other states as required for teaching/clinical supervision.
Evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in Nursing strongly recommended.
Prior teaching experience in higher education.
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
