The Quinnipiac University School of Nursing has been educating nurses for more than 50 years. We are particularly interested in candidates with graduate teaching experiences with MSN nursing education students or practice experience as a nursing professional development specialist. Ability to teach across the curriculum is required. The position supports the School’s competency-based curriculum aligned with the AACN 2021 Essentials, emphasizing learner-centered approaches, clinical judgment, and integration of evidence-based practice. Faculty members contribute to the development of practice ready nurses and advanced practice nurses through innovative teaching strategies and mentoring. Faculty support the School’s mission to develop exceptional, practice-ready nurses as leaders in science-based, holistic care through innovative and inclusive education. This role requires regular, in-person presence on campus. Anticipated start date is July 2026. 

Educational Requirements:

  • Required: unencumbered RN license in Connecticut
  • Required: doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) in nursing or related field
  • Preferred: MSN and/or doctoral degree in nursing education

Qualifications:

  • Experience with competency-based education and curriculum development
  • Evidence of effective teaching in either the academic or clinical setting
  • Recent clinical practice experience as an RN or APRN
  • Service to profession or community
  • Commitment to contribute to the inclusive excellence of the academic community
