ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Instruction & Instructional Leadership

  • Deliver instruction as assigned using effective pedagogy and technology across multiple formats.
  • Develop, update, and maintain curriculum and course materials aligned with program outcomes and industry standards.
  • Maintain student records, grading, and classroom documentation in compliance with college policies.
  • Foster student achievement of learning outcomes and ensure safe, effective learning environments using LMS tools and safety protocols.

Student Success & Retention

  • Advise and support students in coordination with academic advising staff.
  • Monitor student progress, implement interventions, and connect students with academic support services.
  • Support recruitment, retention, completion, and student engagement initiatives

  • Program & Enrollment Management
  • Analyze program data to improve retention, completion, and student success outcomes.
  • Develop schedules and learning experiences that support student access and workforce alignment.
  • Support dual credit quality assurance and experiential learning opportunities including internships.

Program Administration & External Engagement

  • Lead annual program review and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate advisory committees and maintain industry/employer relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and workforce alignment.
  • Oversee program resources including lab equipment, supplies, and instructional needs as applicable.

Human Resource Management

  • Coordinate hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and development of full-time and adjunct faculty with Academic Affairs and HR.
  • Address faculty, staff, and student concerns in collaboration with leadership.

Institutional Support

  • Participate in committees, accreditation work, campus initiatives, and institutional events.
  • Support college-wide goals, policies, workforce initiatives, and community engagement activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution
• Is a licensed Registered Nurse holding an unencumbered license in the state of Indiana, and
• Has a minimum of two years of licensed nursing experience, of which at least one year must be in the provision of long-term care services, and
• Completed application for approval as a program director on file at the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) with all required documentation, and
• Approval by the ISDH Division of Long-Term Care Training Section as a program director, and
• One of the following:

  • Completed the required state training session, including adult learning theory or
  •  Holds a current Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education in any Health Sciences.

Pay Range:

$ 45,000- $ 52,000 base salary per academic (9-month) year; C

  • Additional pay allowance for: Administration and Chair Days
  • Additional Summer contracts, which increase annual salary.
