Innovative Strategies for Recruiting and Retaining PhD Students
As precision health care becomes the standard, nurse scientists are needed to study the effects of treatments on patients, family, and communities. However, the number of nurses entering PhD programs is decreasing, and for nursing schools, recruitment and retention is an area of great concern, particularly for underrepresented minority students. In this session, presenters will address the challenges associated with student recruitment into PhD programs and innovative ways to support students through to program completion.
