In this webinar, we will explore how social media plays a significant role in shaping and maintaining the online image and reputation of institutions. Universities usage of social media platforms often share their achievements, showcase their faculty, and engage with stakeholders. It’s important to note that the usage and trends in social media within higher education are likely to evolve. New platforms, changes in algorithms, and shifts in user behavior may have influenced how universities and colleges utilize social media.
Objectives:
- Categorize stakeholders using social media.
- Identify departments in higher education that have completed research with social media
- Highlight the subject that was identified in the research articles.
- Indicate the subjects posted on the School of Nursing's Instagram in August 2023.
- Indicate the subjects posted on Instagram by Hospitals on Honor Roll 2023.
- Provide a creative example to enhance a social media post in your department.

Dr. Jasmine Bonder has a strong interest in Nursing Innovation. She practices as a Nurse Practitioner in disproportionally affected communities in rural Texas. She is an Assistant Professor for the University of Texas Health teaching across all levels of nursing. As a devote philanthropist, she has received awards and recognitions for her volunteerism within the Jewish Community. Those efforts include being involved with anti-semitism education seminars, leading Jewish leadership courses and being active on committees.

This webinar is free to deans, faculty, staff, and students from AACN member schools of nursing. All non-member audiences will be required to pay a $59 webinar fee.
