According to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), 61% of responding prelicensure programs and 45% of responding graduate programs are teaching cannabis content in required courses, with most including less than 1 to 3 hours of content. Join NCSBN and AACN for a three-part series to discuss how to update curricular content on the use of medical marijuana in pre-licensure and graduate nursing programs, based on the Guidelines for Medical Marijuana released in the July 2018 Supplement to the Journal of Nursing Regulation (JNR).
Part III of the series takes the conversation regarding the NCSBN National Medical Marijuana Guidelines and focuses on the specific knowledge for APRNs Certifying a Medical Marijuana Qualifying Condition.

Maureen leads the Campaign for APRN Consensus project at NCSBN and participates as the NCSBN representative to LACE. She worked as an advanced practice nurse in adult and pediatric oncology for more than 35 years, and as a nursing serviceline leader.
