Webinar Overview

In order to bring their best teaching gifts to the learning experience, faculty need to engage in self-care activities. Faculty also need to assist students in learning the importance of self-care for maintaining resilience in a demanding nursing career. In this Webinar, evidence-based health and wellness strategies that are important in self-care for faculty and students will be explored.

NOTE: This Webinar is only open to deans, faculty, staff and students from AACN member schools of nursing

Heidi Taylor, PhD, RN, NC-BC
Professor
West Texas A&M University

Dr. Heidi Taylor currently serves as Professor of Nursing at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) after serving in administrative positions including Associate Vice President for Learning Assessment, Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and Division Head for Nursing. Her nursing experience includes working as a pediatric staff nurse, nursing administrator, and quality assurance/risk management professional. She is a consultant in nursing and higher education regarding learning assessment and accreditation, is a facilitator for Courage in the Workplace retreats, and is a Board Certified Nurse Coach engaged in private practice helping clients and groups improve their health and wellness.
