Lean methodology has been utilized throughout the healthcare industry for many years as a standard to improve processes and outcomes in healthcare. Lean is a common quality improvement methodology born out of manufacturing that focuses on minimizing waste and adding value to processes. In this webinar, the principles of Lean will be explored and practical examples will be given on how Lean can be utilized to streamline curriculum, improve outcomes and decrease the time to accomplish common academic processes. Lean is a hearty quality improvement tool that can be utilized in higher education to improve curriculum and academic operational processes.
