Academic Progression in Nursing (APIN) is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation initiative of the Tri-Council for Nursing, overseen by the American Organization of Nurse Executives. APIN collaborates with nine state Action Coalitions and their partners to accelerate implementation of promising practices that will help states achieve our goals of seamless academic progression and increasing the number of nurses with a baccalaureate degree. This Webinar will highlight successful academic practice partnerships supporting seamless academic progression in the nine states. Hosted by the AACN-AONE Academic Practice Partnership Initiative.

Tina Gerardi, MS, RN, CAE

APIN National Program Office
Tina has over twenty-five years of experience as an association and nurse executive, most recently in New York State. She serves as the Deputy Director for the APIN National Program office in Washington DC. The APIN initiative supports The Institute of Medicine report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, recommendation to increase the proportion of nurses with a baccalaureate degree to 80 percent by 2020. Tina received her bachelor of science in nursing from Plattsburgh State University and her master of science in nursing and family nurse practitioner certificate from Binghamton University. She is a certified association executive with the American Society of Association Executives and obtained a certificate in labor studies from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Bryan Hoffman, MA
Program Manager
APIN National Program Office
Bryan supports the APIN National Program Office as Program Manager. Prior to joining the APIN team, he worked as a contactor in grants management for the United States Agency for International Development, specializing in gender and reproductive health programming and advocacy. Bryan received his master of arts degree in international health and development from American University’s School of International Service, and his bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio Wesleyan University.
