This effective partnership, led by Dean Marion E. Broome and Executive Vice President Linda Q. Everett, is guided by the Indiana University Nurse Learning Partnership (IUNLP) model which depicts the resources, linkages, and outcomes that support and flow from the partnership. The model has 5 components: Exemplary Nursing Practice, Transformative Learning Experiences, Transformational Leadership, Knowledge Generation/Translation/Application and Resources. Scholarly and operational outcomes as a result of this partnership will be presented.

NOTE: This Webinar is open to everyone including non-members, communities of interest, practice representatives, and AACN member schools including deans, faculty, staff, and students.

Marion E. Broome, PhD, RN, FAAN, is currently Dean and Distinguished Professor at Indiana University School of Nursing and Associate Vice-President of Academic Affairs at Indiana University Health. Dr. Broome is also editor-in-chief of Nursing Outlook, the official journal of the American Academy of Nursing and the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science. She has held faculty positions at 5 schools of nursing and in 2006 attended the Management and Leadership in Education Institute at Harvard University and The Strategic Leadership Course at the Center for Creative Leadership in 2013. Recent honors include “Outstanding Leadership in Nursing Education” from the National League of Nursing and charter member of the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame, Sigma Theta Tau International.

Dr. Everett is executive vice president and chief nurse executive at Indiana University Health, responsible for Nursing and Patient Care Services for the largest health system in the state. She is associate dean for clinical affairs at the Indiana University School of Nursing, and co-chairs the IU Nursing Learning Partnership . Among her most recent accomplishments is co-chairing the academic-practice partnership task force for the AACN and AONE, which helped create a national sense of urgency around why and how nurses must partner to advance the profession and change healthcare. An active researcher, lecturer and speaker, Dr. Everett is currently board president for the Indiana Center for Nursing; was AONE president in 2007; served as a Magnet appraiser from 2003-2006; and held numerous leadership roles for STTI.
