Understanding the Revisions to the 2018 CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs.

The CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs were revised by the CCNE Board of Commissioners in June 2018 and go into effect January 1, 2019. Learn what’s new, what’s changed, and how the revised standards will impact nursing programs at the baccalaureate and graduate levels. Join CCNE for four special webinars, each focusing on a specific standard along with the accompanying key elements, elaborations, and supporting documentation. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of members of the CCNE Standards Committee and staff.

The fourth in the series will focus on: Standard IV- Program Effectiveness: Assessment and Achievement of Program Outcomes

Objectives

  1. Describe the revisions to Standard IV (Program Effectiveness: Assessment and Achievement of Program Outcomes) of CCNE’s 2018 Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs.
  2. Learn about CCNE’s expectations and ways to present evidence to demonstrate compliance with Standard IV (Program Effectiveness: Assessment and Achievement of Program Outcomes) of CCNE’s 2018 Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs.
  3. Find out what assistance and resources are available to CCNE constituents during the transition to the 2018 Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs, and when the revised standards will go into effect.

This webinar is free and open to everyone including non-members, communities of interest, practice representatives, and AACN member schools including deans, faculty, staff, and students.

Eligible attendees may receive one continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hour for participating in this webinar. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is an accredited CNE-provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
