The Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) is proud to announce its first 2019 webinar featuring a presentation on developing successful academic-clinical partnerships to advance interprofessional education for collaborative practice (IPECP).
Webinar panelists will share effective methods for bridging successful interprofessional education (IPE) and interprofessional practice (IPP). Speakers will provide key insights on the development, execution and results of their IPE/IPP programs.

Jeffrey W. Morgan, DO, MA, FACOIDean and Associate Professor, Internal Medicine
A.T. Still University of Health Science, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA)
Jeffrey Morgan, DO, MA, FACOI, is a general internist and Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. He provided primary care medicine in Arizona for 18 years prior to joining ATSU-SOMA in July 2013 as associate professor of internal medicine and public health. He subsequently served as chair of Clinical Science Education, Chair of the Student (Academic) Performance Committee, acting director of the Clinical Education Department, and acting dean, prior to being named dean in January, 2016.
He is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, past president of the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA), and currently serves as Speaker of the House of Delegates for the same association. Dr. Morgan has served on the board of trustees of the Mutual Insurance Company of Arizona since 2004, is active as a delegate to the AOA House of Delegates, and is a graduate of both the Osteopathic Heritage Health Policy Fellowship and Midwestern University’s master of arts in bioethics programs. In 2013, he was honored as AOMA Physician of the Year.
Dr. Morgan has been involved in the education of medical students since he was a resident; and has been actively involved in the training of medical, physician assistant, and podiatric students in Arizona since 1997. As a dedicated lifelong learner, Dr. Morgan is presently pursuing a master of public health degree, and is a 2015 graduate of the Costin Institute for Osteopathic Medical Educators.

American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine
Mark R. Speicher, PhD, MHA, as Senior Vice President for Medical Education and Research, leads AACOM’s efforts to determine the current state and future development of osteopathic medical education (OME). He directs AACOM’s medical education program activities, monitor developments affecting OME, evaluate educational programs that focus on developing the highest quality doctors, and work closely with AACOM’s member colleges to improve existing programs and propose new ones as needed.

This webinar is free and open to everyone including non-members, communities of interest, practice representatives, and AACN member schools including deans, faculty, staff, and students.
Continuing Education Credits
Eligible attendees may receive one Certified in Public Health (CPH) continuing education credit or one continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hour for participating in this webinar. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is an accredited CNE-provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) works with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) to provide CPH credits.
