Simulation in nursing education provides an excellent learning opportunity in healthcare education to improve patient safety, promote nursing excellence in clinical practice, and enhance patient outcomes. The presentation will highlight the most current International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice and provide a review of the new AACN Essentials as it relates to integrating modes of simulated learning experiences into nursing education. The webinar will conclude with face-to-face and virtual simulation teaching and learning.

Objectives

  1. Explore the 2021 revisions to the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL)
  2. Determine new directions for simulation faculty development
  3. Examine future simulation opportunities for the classroom and beyond

Pricing and CE Credit

This webinar is free to deans, faculty, staff and students from AACN member schools of nursing. All non-member audiences will be required to pay a $59 webinar fee.

Continuing Education Credits

Eligible attendees may receive one continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hour for participating in this webinar. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is an accredited CNE-provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
