This year’s midterm elections have the potential to radically change the face of the United States Congress, as well as, dictate which legislative priorities will become front and center starting January 2019. Hear from two Washington insiders whose previous experience serving on Capitol Hill will offer attendees a glimpse into what the road to election season will bring, and how potential shifts in leadership may impact the national healthcare and higher education agenda. Learn how you can interface with your legislators during their time home in August Recess.

Robert Daley works with Polsinelli’s public policy clients to develop legislative strategies, craft policy solutions, analyze changing political trends, and represent their interests before policymakers in Washington. His passion for health policy stems from the six years he spent working in the U.S. Senate for John Barrasso (R-WY), the Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee. His experience working on Capitol Hill equips him with an in-depth knowledge of relevant health care issues and legislative initiatives currently at play in Congress.
Rachel Stevenson

Rachel Stevenson is a highly regarded campaign strategist and political advisor. Her daily advocacy efforts involve working closely with Members of Congress and their staff on a wide-array of issues in pursuit of client goals. Prior to her arrival at Polsinelli in 2013, Rachel spent three years working for Wheat Government Relations as a Senior Legislative Assistant providing critical advice and advocacy on behalf of clients. Rachel also spent more than three years working on Capitol Hill, as a key staffer to Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. Rachel also teaches a course on the foundations of health systems and policy as an assistant adjunct professor at Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies.
