Are you a new Dean or Director? Are you facing new challenges and would like to have a dedicated mentor? This introductory webinar describes the new AACN LEADS program MentorLINK specifically designed for AACN deans. This program is a 7-month long mentorship with an established dean and support that includes leadership programming, social functions at AACN meetings, a career development plan, and guaranteed takeaways. Join us for an informative webinar led by program facilitators that will provide insight into the process, program content, and an inside look at the 2019 cohort.
Objectives
- Discuss the expectations of the inaugural cohort of the AACN LEADS MentorLINK program.
- Explain program content and application process.
- Discover the reciprocal benefit of mentoring relationships, and how mentors and mentees will benefit from this new collaborative relationship.

Nancy Lamberton became a facilitator and coach after a successful career in technology, first as a senior executive and then as an entrepreneur. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about helping others grow and thrive as inspiring leaders. For many years, she has played a leadership role in Women in Technology (WIT), serving on its Board and chairing its renowned mentoring program. She has supported many organizations -- from academia to pharmaceutical companies and associations -- in developing dynamic mentoring and sponsorship programs, as well as other leadership programs.
Director of Academic Nursing Development

Dr. Rosalie O’Dell Mainous, is the Director of Academic Nursing Development for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). Previous to joining AACN in February of 2017, she was Dean and Professor of the Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. She is responsible for the development and implementation of the new leadership portfolio, AACN LEADS, which includes Advancing Academic Leadership for New Deans program
