Webinar Description

Hosted by the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC)

During these unprecedented and challenging times, the importance of collaboration across professional lines is evident now more than ever. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, health professions schools and clinical programs across the country must navigate the many challenges to delivering classroom instruction and services in light of the pandemic. Faced with lengthy shutdowns and restrictions, teaching institutions and hospitals are exploring alternatives to traditional learning. Webinar participants will be introduced to a new online collection and hear innovative strategies that provide opportunities for interprofessional student teams to develop, practice, and refine interprofessional skills.

Following an introduction to a new collection, speakers will share how their IPE programs and partners have adapted interprofessional health professions education and implemented innovative IPE instructional methods.

Objectives:

  • Describe how IPE leadership supports practice-academic partnerships to assist with trainee readiness and the healthcare workforce
  • Share novel approaches for modifying clinical placements, applying alternative learning strategies, and highlighting exemplary models
