Webinar Overview

Across the country we see a national standard for education, program accreditation, and certification requirements for those in NP programs. However, there is a lot of variability when it comes to NP practice in states. States with Full Practice Authority (FPA) allow for NP practice without any contracts or relationships with a physician or oversight by the state medical board. Understanding the current status of FPA is important to your future practice and has implications on your patients. Join this webinar for an overview of FPA and its impact as well as learn more about what work still remains to have FPA adopted by all states across the country.

Objectives:
  • The learner will define Full Practice Authority (as defined by AANP) and its impact on nurse practitioners.
  • The learner will identify the current status of FPA. (In their state?)
  • The learner will identify opportunities for advocacy in non-FPA state.
