Twitter has become a powerful social networking tool where users can share messages, follow specific content through the use of hashtags, stay connected to individual thought leaders, and advance specific issues or agendas. As nurses, Twitter can serve as a valuable tool to help highlight your expertise within health care. Join this webinar to learn Twitter basics and how to’s from setting up an account to posting your first tweet. The speakers will also share resources and best practices to help you understand do’s and don’ts, trending hashtags, and who current influencers are. Finally, the audience will be left with some sample tweets to help increase your comfort in using Twitter and help you draft future messages with ease.
Objectives:
  • The learner will have basic instruction on starting a Twitter handle, post tweets, re-tweet, and use content specific hashtags.
  • The learner will understand the best practices when using Twitter as a social media platform.
  • The learner will discuss ways to use Twitter for advocacy efforts.

This webinar is free to deans, faculty, staff and students from AACN member schools of nursing. All non-member audiences will be required to pay a $59 webinar fee. 
Continuing Education Credits:

Eligible attendees may receive one continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hour for participating in this webinar. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is an accredited CNE-provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
