Webinar Overview

Dr. Tim Pychyl (Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada) will explain the gap between intention and action, what we commonly call procrastination. He will explain why it’s not an issue of time management, but emotion regulation, and provide strategies for change based on the psychological science that he and his colleagues have conducted over the past 25 years.

Objectives:
  • Explain how the self-defeating delay of procrastination is a problem of emotion regulation.
  • Explore the psychological biases in human thinking that contribute to this delay.
  • Identify strategies to more effectively move from intention to action.
