Accreditation Manager

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing seeks a full-time manager to provide day-to-day oversight of program monitoring activities and customer service to nursing programs, the CCNE governing board, and volunteers, in support of a national accreditation process for baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs. 

The successful candidate will manage CCNE’s substantive change notification process, enabling the Commission to monitor significant changes to accredited nursing programs. The Accreditation Manager will be responsible for communicating with nursing program administrators and faculty regarding CCNE accreditation procedures and standards, including responding to inquiries from nursing programs, initiating requests for information on programmatic changes, and providing guidance on submission of reports. 

The successful candidate will provide staff support to CCNE committees and will work as a member of an internal staff team. The Accreditation Manager must be detail oriented with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; and s/he must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with constituents and colleagues. The ability to manage simultaneous tasks and prioritize competing deadlines is required.

Requirements and Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree, three years of professional experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office required. 
  • Working knowledge of accreditation and/or program monitoring strongly preferred. 
  • Experience working in the health professions, higher education and/or nonprofit organizations recommended.
