An active registered nurse for more than 28 years, Dr. Bruder has worked in higher education for more than 21 years. Her primary role as the chief academic officer at Rochester University is to oversee the development and implementation of educational programs and policies to support students in their pursuit of academic achievements. Dr. Bruder manages all areas that touch the academic vision of the institution, such as faculty and academic support service departments.

Education and Corporate Trainer

This TEDx speaker, author, counselor, education and corporate trainer is known as the Resiliency Lady and teaches "Burnout Prevention". With a focus on organizational excellence, Porcelli’s training will help teach you how to build a culture of resiliency, engagement, and growth mindset. She wrote “7 Key Coping Skills” and is the creator of CONNECT WEEK, an evidence-based, experiential program uplifting and unifying schools, businesses, and communities. 

Brigit CarterBrigit Carter

Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, American Association of Colleges in Nursing

Dr. Carter joined AACN in February 2023 to advance the association’s strategic goal to serve as a resolute leader for diversity, equity, and inclusion within academic nursing. She is Professor Emerita at the Duke University School of Nursing where she most recently served as the Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion from 2018-2023. Dr. Carter’s current educational research is focused on understanding experiences of students with microaggressions and development of strategies to mitigate the impact of microaggressions. She also has a focus on strategies to increase historically marginalized students in nursing and understand individual level social determinants that are barriers to achieving nursing education.
