The Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system is currently recruiting CNLs for their Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit, Emergency Department, and their Orthopedic unit. The CNLs at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center are vital members of their interdisciplinary care and leadership teams on each specific unit. Responsibilities include: Designing, coordinating, integrating and evaluating nursing care for assigned units(s) to ensure optimal patient outcome; performs or oversees the collection of holistic assessments; carries a caseload of patients and provides care at the point of care; collaborating with unit leadership to create an environment that facilitates and improves patient care delivery; synthesizing data, information and knowledge to evaluate and achieve optimal patient outcomes; ensuring that patients and families are well-informed and included in care planning; providing leadership in the educational needs of patients and families and develops the clinical expertise of staff; provides formal and informal educational opportunities on the unit to improve clinical skills of all staff; recommending specific programming to build clinical skill set of staff; provides input and feedback to Manager related to evaluation and competency of staff. Minimum Qualifications: Master of Science degree in Clinical Nurse Leader or a post Master certificate for Clinical Nurse Leader; 3 years of experience in nursing with evidence of clinical competency in specialty area; affiliation with professional organizations strongly recommended; demonstrated leadership in patient care and outcomes.
