The Commission on Nurse Certification is governed by the CNC Board of Commissioners (CNCBOC). The CNCBOC is responsible for the policies and procedures of the CNL Certification Program.
Ambassadors are champions of the CNL Certification Program who help spread the word about the unique expertise certified CNLs bring to healthcare delivery.
Members of this committee assist with finalizing the CNL Certification Exam in conjunction with CNC’s testing vendor.
Members of this committee oversee the award process by reviewing and approving applications submitted.
Item writers develop exam questions and collaborate with CNC’s testing vendor in the development of the CNL exam.
These are subject matter experts who assist with development of the survey instrument, review the body of knowledge, and finalize the job analysis with CNC’s testing vendor.
The committee promotes the value of CNL certification, implement the marketing plan, promote the CNC brand image, educate key stakeholders on the CNL program and promote recertification.
Committee members are responsible for the program content of CNC’s annual CNL Research Symposium.
