National Nursing Survey: Understanding Racism in Nursing
ncarin-logo-copy_2036603.png

Early this year, AACN joined leading nursing organizations to form the National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing (the Commission).

The Commission is requesting the participation of AACN member schools in a survey on racism in nursing in the workplace. Racism is defined as assaults on the human spirit in the form of biases, prejudices, and an ideology of superiority which persistently causes moral suffering and perpetuates injustices and inequities.

The purpose of this survey is to learn about your perceptions and lived experiences and to further understand the impact of racism on the nursing profession and patient outcomes. We encourage faculty to take this brief, confidential survey here. If you have any questions, contact the American Nurses Association at practice@ana.org.

Survey responses will be accepted through October 28, 2021.
