Faculty Resource Central
AACN's Faculty Resource Center

AACN develops a variety of resources and tool kits to help nursing school faculty enhance curriculum and program development. Each month, AACN will use this space to highlight teaching resources, essential documents, curriculum guides, faculty tool kits, and other helpful tools for nurse faculty teaching in baccalaureate and higher degree programs.
Nurse faculty are called to prepare new nurses to provide quality care and lead in an environment undergoing rapid change. This critical work calls for faculty to teach the importance of navigating complexity while working to build equitable systems wherever they practice. 5B can serve as an excellent teaching tool to help faculty achieve these goals.

Faculty are encouraged to use this tool kit, which includes teaching exemplars, teachable moments, an instructional guide, and more.

December ELNEC Update
2016-ELNEC-Logo-Sm_783417.png
Many of you may have just returned from AACN Transform in Dallas, TX. There was a lot of conversation centered around the Hospice/Palliative/Supportive Care sphere in The Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education. ELNEC (The End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium) hosted a booth, where faculty members Drs. Andra Davis (University of Portland) and Megan Lippe (UT-San Antonio) networked and provided information on how the ELNEC Undergraduate/New Graduate and ELNEC Graduate online curriculum can support efforts to address this sphere.
