Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement with a dedicated observance every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. As we approach Giving Tuesday 2022, we encourage you to support the important work of the Foundation for Academic Nursing. This year, we are seeking donations for AACN’s Faculty Scholars Grant Program. Donations to this program will support faculty innovators and the development of forward-thinking projects that will transform nursing education.

AACN Faculty Resource Central

AACN's Faculty Resource Center

AACN develops a variety of resources to meet the needs of nursing school faculty. Each month, AACN highlights teaching resources, essential documents, curriculum guides, faculty tool kits, and other helpful tools for faculty teaching in baccalaureate and higher degree programs.

November's Featured Resource:
Practice Leadership Network Tool Kit

plntoolkit-cover_2372329.pngAACN's Practice Leadership Network has published a new faculty tool kit to provide a broad framework for faculty practice across the wide range of academic settings. The tool kit is organized in three sections focused on the roles of the faculty members engaged in practice, the infrastructure of faculty practice, and documenting the impact of faculty practice. Each section provides a brief background and then recommendations with resources and justification of the recommendation.

Explore AACN's New Essentials Website and Resource Database

AACN recently launched a new website to better showcase the resources and information available to help faculty implement the Essentials. New sections include a redesigned tool kit, , curriculum mapping tools, school spotlights, access to all on-demand webinars and program sessions, and a searchable teaching resource database!

The new database provides an easy way for you to access learning strategies, suggested resources, recommended content, and assessment measures for each domain. The content was developed by more than 75 faculty members and subject matter experts who served on our Domain and Concept Working Groups. All resources will be reviewed regularly for currency and relevance with new resources added on an ongoing basis.

We encourage faculty to explore the Essentials website and share implementation efforts underway at your school of nursing!
