In today's issue of Inside Higher Ed, reporter Lindsay McKenzie explores the U.S. Department of Education's latest moves to reshape the rules regulating the operation of online programs across state lines in an article titled "Rethinking State Authorization, Again." The federal regulations requiring online institutions to be authorized to operate in multiple states were up for debate earlier this month as part of the Trump administration's planned overhaul of higher education rules.
