Opportunities & Resources to Consider
- AACN, in cooperation with the CDC, has announced a Notice of Opportunity of Funding for a Workforce Improvement Project titled Building Capacity and Increasing Awareness of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in U.S. Territories and Freely Associated States to Assess and Improve CKD Testing and Care Coordination Among At-Risk Populations. The project period for this award is approximately 1 year and is being funded for $85,000. AACN member schools should submit applications directly to AACN by emailing Allison Jacobs at ajacobs@aacnnursing.org no later than March 8, 2021. For more information or to apply, click here.
- The 2021 application cycle is now open for the Excellence in Interprofessional Education (IPE) Collaborative Award, a collaborative recognition presented by the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) and the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Officers Foundation for the Advancement of Public Health. Applications are due by February 3. Candidates will receive notification emails by March 22, 2021.
- The Commission on Nurse Certification is now accepting applications for available positions on the CNC Board of Commissioners (CNCBOC), Item Writing Committee, and Marketing Committee. CNCBOC and Item Writing Committee positions require a three-year commitment. Service on the Marketing Committee is a two-year appointment. The submission deadline is February 28, 2021.
- The American Psychological Association’s Minority Fellowship Program has a family of programs dedicated to help promising graduate students, postdoctoral trainees, and early career professionals achieve lasting success in areas related to ethnic/racial minority psychology and other behavioral sciences.
