AACN Partners with LiquidCompass to Offer State-of-the-Art Career Resources to Nursing Schools Nationwide

Published March 21, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 21, 2019 – Today, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and LiquidCompass are pleased to announce a new partnership to provide nursing schools with a host of job search and career planning resources to benefit students, new graduates, and alumni. Through this collaboration, LiquidCompass will provide each AACN member school with a customized, next generation job search engine and real-time intelligence on key nurse hiring trends, including employer demand for nurses by specialty, academic degree, and experience level.

“With over 250 established partnerships at leading schools of nursing, LiquidCompass is redefining how nursing jobseekers and employers find each other,” said Dr. Deborah Trautman, President and Chief Executive Officer of AACN. “The market indicators and hiring benchmark data compiled by LiquidCompass will help new graduates secure positions with first-choice employers while providing nursing schools with the data and research tools needed to shape program goals and expansion strategies.”

Through this partnership, LiquidCompass will create and maintain branded, customized nursing job search sites for each of AACN’s 825 member schools at no cost. Using the latest technology and high precision search capabilities, job seekers can locate open positions nationwide via a number of key indicators, including opportunities with employers seeking new graduates. In addition, LiquidCompass will provide access to its market data and analytics to nursing schools for a highly discounted subscription fee. Called Market Console, this powerful, data-rich service will enable participating schools to:

  • Track nurse hiring demand and trends for virtually every specialty, care environment, employer, and market in the U.S.

  • Gain valuable market insights to identify opportunities for nursing program expansion based on employer hiring trends and requirements.

  • Provide sophisticated, data-driven career guidance to students, new graduates, and alumni.

  • Identify and track education requirements, licensure requirements, and skills requirements by specialty, market, and employer.

  • Track real-time hiring benchmarks, including compensation, and typical time-to-fill by nursing specialty and employer type.

"LiquidCompass has been a fantastic resource and tool for our students and new grads to find the nursing jobs they’re looking for,” said Dr. Judy Beal, Dean of the College of Natural, Behavioral, and Health Sciences at Simmons University. “Now, with the new AACN/LiquidCompass relationship, more nursing students will have access to a true geographic job search tool that provides convenient and comprehensive access to all nursing jobs across the country. The data is clean, not duplicated, and indexed for important job search criteria, which is perfect for recent graduates who want to see every employer that hires new graduates. Every nurse should know about this fabulous resource!”
