Opportunities for Graduate Students

|

AACN's Graduate Nursing Student Academy (GNSA) is excited to share two leadership opportunities for your master's and doctoral students. We encourage you to share these programs with your students, as they offer a unique platform for both personal and professional growth, allowing students to represent your institution in the broader nursing community.

Group of GNSA Liaisons

GNSA Liaison Program

This unique opportunity is open to students who demonstrate strong leadership potential and are interested in introducing GNSA initiatives and resources to their peers. Multiple students from the same school may volunteer to serve as Liaisons. With over 100 schools already represented, we hope that yours will be among them. The deadline to submit an application is September 14, 2025.

Group of GNSA Advocacy Leaders

GNSA Advocacy Leaders

This leadership opportunity allows students to learn more about the policy process and further develop their advocacy skills. Featuring two representatives from each state, this group of leaders receives specialized instructions through quarterly conference calls to further develop an understanding of how they can engage in advocacy. By the end of the term, they are prepared to speak to issues of importance on a national level within academic nursing. The deadline to apply is September 19, 2025.
