Rep. Donna Shalala to Present Opening Remarks at 50th Anniversary Gala

Rep. Donna Shalala (D-FL), former Secretary of Health and Human Services, and former President of the University of Miami, is scheduled to present the opening remarks at AACN's 50th Anniversary Celebration Gala on Saturday, October 19, in The Great Hall at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Rep. Shalala, one of nursing's true champions in Congress, was the Chair of The Future of Nursing Committee, which produced the 2011 Institute of Medicine report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health.
