AACN Urges OMB to Withdraw Proposed Federal Financial Assistance Rule

AACN led and joined a number of comment letters urging the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to withdraw its Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance proposed rule. This includes letters from the American Council on EducationUnited for Cures, and the Nursing Community Coalition. These letters outline how the proposed rule could increase uncertainty in the federal grant process, jeopardize long-term research and workforce investments, and create additional administrative burdens for nursing schools and researchers.

Nominate a Nurse for a Federal Rural Health Committee

AACN’s Ad Hoc Nomination Consortium is seeking potential candidates to serve on the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services (NACRHHS). This committee advises the HHS Secretary on policies and programs to help improve health outcomes for rural communities. If you know a nurse who should be nominated to serve on this committee, click here to submit their name by Friday, July 24, for consideration.
