This session will feature a theory burst of why it is important to incorporate the AACN Essentials into the scenario to prepare a competent learner. Discussion around how to utilize simulation to assess competencies will occur. This session will introduce an evidence-based simulation scenario template for incorporating the Essentials into entry- and advanced-level programs. Using a storyboard, participants will begin developing a scenario that integrates the Essentials.
