Back to News Now Accepting Proposals: AACN Faculty Scholars Grant Thursday, May 7, 2026 | Foundation Grants & Funding The Foundation for Academic Nursing is now accepting proposals for the 2026 AACN Faculty Scholars Grant. This annual funding opportunity supports innovative faculty-led initiatives aligned with pressing priorities in nursing education. 2026-2027 Theme: Integrating Emerging Technologies into Nursing Curriculum AACN will fund two $25,000 pilot grants to study student outcomes using emerging technologies in nursing education. As both didactic and clinical environments evolve, AACN seeks proposals focused on implementing innovative tools, such as simulation and artificial intelligence, and evaluating their impact on undergraduate or graduate student success. Award Details A total of $50,000 will be distributed this year to support faculty scholarship. During the grant period, faculty will examine how technology can be effectively integrated into instruction and assess its influence on outcomes, including clinical competency, critical thinking, knowledge retention, and readiness for practice. The goal is to generate evidence to inform curriculum development and advance nursing education in a technology-driven healthcare environment. This work builds on the contributions of past AACN Faculty Scholars, whose projects are helping to reshape nursing education, clinical practice, community engagement, and health policy. Faculty Commitment Faculty receiving funding must provide 6- and 12-month progress reports and share data findings and additional content with the academic nursing community through AACN’s website, Syllabus newsletter, and social media. Scholars are expected to present an AACN webinar and submit a manuscript for publication to the Journal of Professional Nursing.
