Bobby Bellflower is Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences, where she leads academic programs, curriculum development, faculty support, student success initiatives, accreditation activities, and innovation across undergraduate and graduate nursing education. A neonatal nurse practitioner with more than three decades of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Bellflower has built her career around the connection between expert clinical judgment, compassionate communication, and the preparation of nurses who can care for patients and families in increasingly complex healthcare systems. Her current work includes advancing the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in nursing education and practice, including leadership of the UT Health Collaborative for AI in Nursing, a regional partnership with chief nursing officers and healthcare leaders focused on preparing nurses to use AI while preserving professional judgment, accountability, trust, and human connection. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP), and the National Academies of Practice (FNAP), and her contributions to neonatal nursing, nursing education, leadership, and mentorship have been recognized nationally, most recently with the National Association of Neonatal Nurses Lifetime Achievement Award, to be presented in September 2026. Dr. Joanne "Jody" Minnick is an Assistant Clinical Professor and DNP Coordinator at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the University of California, Davis. As a doctorally prepared nurse educator and scholar, her work advances Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) education through innovative curriculum design, evidence-based scholarship, faculty mentorship, and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into nursing education. Her scholarly platform focuses on DNP education, hospice and palliative care, dementia care, and AI literacy, with an emphasis on preparing advanced practice nurses to critically evaluate emerging technologies while delivering evidence-based, compassionate, person-centered care. Dr. Minnick presents nationally and internationally on AI in nursing education, end-of-life communication, serious illness conversations, and translating evidence into advanced nursing practice.
