April Congressional Recess: Title VIII Edition
From April 15 to 26, Members of Congress are back in their districts and states for a District Work Period or “Recess.” Recesses offer a wonderful opportunity to have a conversation with your Senators or Representative while they are home attending events or holding town halls. Should you see your Members of Congress this District Work Period, please remind them of the importance of Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development programs, explain the impact of any Title VIII grants received, and delineate how these federal programs positively benefit students, patients, and the community.

Keep the Momentum Going
While Congress may be away on April Recess, we’re still working arduously to gain additional cosponsors and pass the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act. Bipartisan Congressional support for H.R. 728, the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2019 is currently up to 79 cosponsors, but we are not done yet!
We need your help to keep the momentum going. Send your Representative a message urging them to cosponsor and pass H.R. 728!
