HRSA Announces Health Workforce Data Dashboard
On August 20, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced that its new Health Professions Training Programs interactive dashboards are available in the HRSA Data Warehouse. This data tool aggregates performance data from the Bureau of Health Workforce programs, such as the National Health Service Corps, Nurse Corps, and Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs. The information offers insight into HRSA’s investments, distribution of healthcare providers, active grants, and more. Explore the dashboard here.
AACN Schools Continue Engagement in Precision Medicine
The All of Us Research Program seeks to build a national research cohort of one million or more participants reflecting the diversity of those living in the United States. The program focuses specifically on historically underrepresented communities in biomedical research, encouraging collaboration between community partners and the nursing school to engage the community. Since 2017, AACN has awarded $295,000 to 25 nursing schools in diverse communities around the country to help increase awareness of the program.
