DEADLINE APPROACHING: Apply for AACN’s National Institute on Drug Abuse Grant Today!

AACN is partnering with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) on mentored training grants to support a graduate student (Master's, Doctoral (DNP, PhD), or Post-Doctoral) from an AACN member school. Two awards of up to $10,000 each are available for the selected awardees, who develop projects that advance research, dissemination, and adoption of evidence-based SUD treatment practices. The deadline to apply is November 2, and the award announcement will be made December 4. Click here to apply today!

Research!America 2020-2021 Microgrant Request for Proposals 

Research!America is requesting proposals from graduate and postdoc students for the 2020-2021 civic engagement microgrant program. This year’s microgrant program will focus on providing funding to student groups for virtual activities that focus on civic engagement and spark dialogue with public policy leaders on health science and research. Groups will have the module options of designing a virtual event, creating a podcast, or receiving funding for a new science policy group. The deadline for the proposals is November 9 with an informational webinar on the program occurring on October 22 at 2 pm ET.

AACN’S Nursing Voices, Nursing Votes: Countdown to Election 2020

With less than two weeks until Election Day, check out AACN’s nonpartisan initiative, Nursing Voices, Nursing Votes. The initiative informs AACN members, deans, faculty, and students on how to amplify their voices during election season. Nursing Voices, Nursing Votes includes an Election Day countdown, as well as state voter resources with registration deadlines and absentee and mail-in ballot information. Currently, the initiative has over 250 participants from across the country. Our goal is to double the number before Election Day on November 3.
