The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Celebrates 50th Anniversary 

Since 1972, NHSC has worked to improve and provide healthcare access to rural and underserved areas across the nation. Beginning in just 13 states, the NHSC is now active in all 50 states, Washington, DC, and four territories. To date, more than 66,000 Corps clinicians have touched the lives of and improved health outcomes for tens of millions of Americans. Advanced Research Project Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Established within NIH

On May 25, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced that ARPA-H would be under the National Institute of Health as an independent entity. In addition to this formal announcement, they named Acting Deputy Director, Dr. Adam Russell, to lead this new initiative. ARPA-H seeks to improve and accelerate biomedical and health research, while providing innovative solutions. The House of Representatives is expected to consider H.R. 5585, the ARPA-H Act, later this month. To learn more about ARPA-H and their mission, click here.

Apply Now to the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP)

The STAR LRP program is administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and provides selected recipients with up to $250,000 in loan repayment. RNs, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and other healthcare providers are eligible to apply.
