Deadline Extended: Last Chance to Apply for a $10,000 NIDA Grant

Did you miss the opportunity to apply for a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) grant? You are in luck as the deadline has been extended to Monday, November 7, 2022. The NIDA Blending Initiative: Moving Science from Research to Practice provides up to two $10,000 grant awards for project proposals submitted by a student from an AACN member school. This funding will be awarded to projects that contribute to a student’s knowledge of substance use disorders (SUD) and advances research, dissemination, and adoption of evidence-based SUD treatment. HRSA Releases Nursing Workforce Dashboard 

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) National Center for Health Workforce Analysis has released a new nursing workforce dashboard on data.hrsa.gov. This tool helps users visualize data collected from the 2018 National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses. With the dashboard, users can analyze detailed information on demographics, education, licensure, employment, work environment, and earnings of the nursing workforce at the national and state levels. CDC Opportunity: Cohort Application for Public Health Workforce

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Network of Public Health Institutes has new training opportunities available for the public health workforce. Public Health 3.0, CDC’s Public Health Policy and Strategy Innovation Hub, offers a selected cohort training to support strategic foresight and thinking, adaptive leadership practices, and strategies to address complex public health issues.
