HRSA’s Nursing Workforce Development Programs
The Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Bureau of Health Workforce administers the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development programs, which help to strengthen the nursing workforce and improve the health of communities across the nation, including underserved and vulnerable populations. HRSA is now accepting applications for the following funding opportunities:
- Advanced Nursing Education Nurse Practitioner Residency (ANE-NPR) Program – Application Deadline: March 4
This program further prepares new nurse practitioners in primary care for practice in community-based settings that benefit rural or underserved populations. Apply now.
- Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Veteran Nurses in Primary Care (VNPC) Training Program - Application Deadline: March 8
This program recruits and trains nursing students who are veterans and current registered nurses to increase access to primary care services. Apply now.
- Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship (NAT) Program – Application Deadline: April 15
This program increases the number of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) providing care, especially to rural and underserved populations. Apply now.
